On the first weekend of each month, all during the year, Piazza Grande is frame of the most important Antiques Fair in Italy and each end of August it hosts the Saracen Joust, calling out the cries of Knights and Saracens and the creaking of arms, back from the Crusades.
Arezzo is well placed for excursions to the important medieval and renaissance towns in the regions of Tuscany and Umbria. There are many excellent and affordable restaurants and any kind of shops within the historical centre.
